2nd National Forum of Biomass Combustion
2nd National Forum of Biomass Combustion, will be held on 18–19 April 2012 in Krakow. Forum is the Poland´s largest two–day and cyclic debate covering all aspects of the use of biomass for energy purposes. It is a reaction to problems and questions about all aspects of this process.
The first edition of the event was held on 20-21 April 2011, at the headquarters of the Czestochowa University of Technology, and brought together over 250 representatives from key corporations in the country.
The organizer of the event is the Center for Business Education, which specializes in the issues relevant to the regulated network and infrastructure sectors, such as: power industry, fuel, gas, telecommunications and widely understood industry. Our goal is to organize the events that allow associating the representatives of academia and business as well as establishing cross-sectoral relationship.
Due to the growing market demand, this year's edition of the Forum will be of international nature, which will allow scrutinizing the international experience. Forum will focus on the energy sector and the challenging market dynamics and will bring together the World's leading authorities to discuss unique approaches to a sustainable and competitive Biomass framework and combine the perspective. We expect that in 2012 the Forum will be attended by approx. 500 people from Poland and abroad.
The Stanislaw Staszic AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow became the host and the Honorary Patron of the Forum. By courtesy of His Magnificence Rector Prof. Antoni Tajdus, Ph.D., Eng., the event will be held in the building of the University.
Taking into account the market demand and a strategic role of using both national and international experiences, the next edition of the Forum will be of international nature. During the conference, both the Representatives of leading energy companies in the country and the invited foreign Experts representing: the government agencies, political experts, researchers, and commercial industries who will share their vision and expertise on how Poland can play a role in this growing biomass sector. The high competence level of the event is supervised by the established Program Board comprising renowned Experts.
