4Biomass Presentation at IEA Bioenergy Conference in Vienna

Between November 13^th and 15^th, 2012, the IEA Bioenergy Conference 2012 took place in Schönbrunn Palace Conference Center of Vienna, Austria. Some 200 bioenergy experts from all over the world gathered to discuss the most important questions concerning bioenergy, in twelve sessions. On the third day of the conference, study tours to selected places of bioenergy-research and –demonstration were offered to the participants.

The sessions were dedicated to the following topics – many of these topics have also been addressed by the 4biomass project:

• Thermal gasification of biomass
• Bio-refineries
• Sustainable international bioenergy trade
• Small scale biomass combustion
• Biomass feedstocks for energy markets
• Socio economic drivers in implementation
• Biogas
• Greenhouse balances of bioenergy systems
• Commercializing liquid fuels
• Integrating energy recovery into solid waste management
• Cross-cutting topics
• Pyrolysis

The project 4Biomass was present at this conference with a poster on the results of the stakeholder-dialogue.
