In October 2009 Slovenian government launched the preparation of National Renewable Energy Action Plan. Measures in the nREAP should provide 25% renewable energy in gross end-use in 2020. National REAP has to be designed in accordance with Commission Decision of 30 June 2009 on proposals for national action plans for renewable energy in accordance with Directive 2009/28/ES European Parliament and Council, number C (2009) 5174.
The government has therefore assigned the Ministry of Economy, Directorate for Energy to conduct the preparation of nREAP and submitted it to government for adoption until the end of June 2010.
Ministry of Economy established an inter-ministerial working group to coordinate activities in the construction of the nREAP composed by representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Finance, Government Office for Development and European Affairs and the Government Office for Climate Change. Working group was set up, composed of external experts that are now preparing the nREAP.
