Report from the International Biogas Symposium

The International Biogas Symposium was organised by IBBK in cooperation with FNR in the frame of the 4Biomass project on the 23^rd and the 24^th February 2012 in Berlin. The workshop was organised alongside the BioGasWorld 2012.

The BioGasWorld is a fair for international business for biogas technology. It took place the first time in the venue of the Berlin Messe. The Agency for Renewable Resources was present with a stand providing information on biogas and general bioenergy to participants of the conference and visitors of the fair. Claudia Lutsyuk and Aino Martikainen represented the 4Biomass project at the BioGasWorld 2012 providing information on biogas and other bioenergy issues.

More than 100 stakeholders from Europe and third countries used the opportunity to take part in the International Biogas Symposium. During the Biogas Symposium, Claudia Lutsyuk gave a presentation about general biomass potential, the political framework and results of the stakeholder dialogue for Central Europe with special regard to Poland, based on results of the 4Biomass project.
